INTRO

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of visitzamboanga.com and any tour reservation you make through it. By browsing this site or submitting a reservation request, you agree to these terms. Please read them in full, especially the sections on travel advisories and limitation of liability if you’re considering a Sulu Archipelago Side Trip.

If anything here is unclear, reach out to us at bookings@visitzamboanga.com or through our Contact Us page before you reserve.

1. WHO WE ARE

Visit Zamboanga (visitzamboanga.com) is a Zamboanga City destination guide and tour reservation platform. It is currently operated by Renen Jose San Luis Navalta, an individual based in Zamboanga City, Philippines. References to “we,” “us,” “our,” or “Visit Zamboanga” in these terms refer to this operator.

We are not a tour operator. Every tour listed on this site is operated by iTravel Tourist Lane, a tour operator accredited by the Philippine Department of Tourism, Region IX (Accreditation No. DOTR9-TSR-2018-045), and a Regular Member of PHILTOA, Allied Member of HRAZC, and Affiliate Member of AGTZ. This distinction runs through this entire document. We help you discover Zamboanga City and submit a reservation. iTravel Tourist Lane provides the guides, vans, boats, permits, and accommodations, and actually delivers the tour.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By accessing or using visitzamboanga.com, including browsing tour pages, submitting a reservation request, or contacting us through this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or submit a reservation.

These terms apply to every visitor, whether or not you go on to reserve a tour.

3. THE NATURE OF OUR SERVICE

Visit Zamboanga is a destination guide and reservation assistant, not a tour operator, travel agency license holder, or payment processor. When you submit a reservation through this site:

• Your request is reviewed by our team and by iTravel Tourist Lane to check guide and vehicle availability
• Payment, once your slot is confirmed, is made directly to iTravel Tourist Lane’s own GCash or bank account, not to Visit Zamboanga
• The tour itself, including the guide, transport, permits, and any accommodation, is provided entirely by iTravel Tourist Lane
• Visit Zamboanga does not hold or process your payment at any point

4. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old, or reserving with the involvement of a parent or guardian, to submit a reservation through this site. If a reservation includes children as part of a family or group booking, the adult submitting the reservation is responsible for the accuracy of that booking and for the group as a whole.

5. RESERVATIONS, PRICING, AND PAYMENT

Reservations are requests, not instant purchases. Submitting a reservation through this site (the “Reserve Your Slot” button) sends a request to our team and to iTravel Tourist Lane. It is not an automatic charge or a guaranteed booking until confirmed. See How Booking Works for the full step by step.

Pricing. Prices shown on tour pages are per person, in Philippine peso, and subject to change without prior notice. The price applicable to your reservation is the one confirmed to you at the time your booking is finalized, not necessarily the price shown at the moment you browsed the page.

Payment. Payment for your tour goes directly to iTravel Tourist Lane via GCash or bank transfer, using the details provided to you after you submit your reservation request. Visit Zamboanga does not collect, process, or store your payment information. Keep your payment reference number or screenshot until your tour is complete, in case it’s ever needed to confirm your payment.

Slot holds. Your requested slot is held for 48 hours while payment is pending, after which it may be released.

6. CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING, AND REFUNDS

Since payment is made directly to iTravel Tourist Lane rather than through visitzamboanga.com, refunds, if applicable under the finalized policy above, are processed by iTravel Tourist Lane. We will assist in coordinating a cancellation or rescheduling request, but we do not hold your payment and cannot independently issue a refund on iTravel Tourist Lane’s behalf.

7. TRAVEL ADVISORIES AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

This section applies to all tours, and applies with particular weight to our Sulu Archipelago Side Trips (Discover Tawi-Tawi and Basilan Day Tour, and any future tours to Sulu).

Zamboanga City and the wider Zamboanga Peninsula currently sit under a Level 3, “Reconsider Travel,” advisory from the U.S. State Department. Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, together referred to as the Sulu Archipelago, currently sit under a Level 4, “Do Not Travel,” advisory, the highest tier issued by the U.S. State Department, with comparably strict advisories from the United Kingdom and Canada. These advisory levels are published on the relevant tour pages and can change at any time. It is your responsibility to check your own government’s current advisory before booking and before travel, not only what is published on this site at the time you reserve.

By reserving a tour on this site, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You have read and understood the travel advisory disclosures on the relevant tour page, particularly for any Sulu Archipelago Side Trip
• You are voluntarily choosing to travel to a destination that may carry an elevated government travel advisory
• Visit Zamboanga is not responsible for the advisory status of any destination, for changes to that status, or for any incident that occurs during your trip
• Travel insurance is your own responsibility to arrange, and you should confirm directly with your insurer whether your destination, particularly a Level 4 destination, is covered, including for emergency evacuation
• Visit Zamboanga’s role ends at facilitating your reservation. The tour itself, including all safety, security, and logistical decisions made during the trip, is the responsibility of iTravel Tourist Lane and its guides

Nothing in this section is intended to discourage you from traveling. It exists so that your decision is made with full information, consistent with the same approach taken on our Sulu Archipelago tour pages.

8. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TRAVELER

When you reserve and go on a tour through this site, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when submitting your reservation, including your name, contact details, and the number of travelers in your group
• Arrive at the agreed pickup point on time, since delays can affect the rest of the day’s itinerary for your group and others
• Follow the reasonable safety instructions of your guide during the tour
• Dress and behave appropriately at religious, cultural, and community sites visited during a tour, as noted on the relevant tour page
• Arrange your own travel insurance, and for Sulu Archipelago Side Trips, your own separately booked flights where applicable
• Bring a valid, current government-issued ID where required, particularly for ferry travel to Basilan or flights to Tawi-Tawi

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Tours listed on this site are provided by iTravel Tourist Lane, an independent, DOT-accredited tour operator. iTravel Tourist Lane is not owned or controlled by Visit Zamboanga.

Visit Zamboanga is not responsible for:

• The acts, omissions, negligence, or conduct of iTravel Tourist Lane, its guides, drivers, or boat crew
• The condition, safety, or maintenance of any vehicle, boat, or equipment used during a tour
• Delays, cancellations, or changes to a tour caused by weather, mechanical issues, availability, or circumstances outside our control
• Injury, loss, or damage arising during a tour once it is underway

Where the law allows, any claim related to the actual conduct of a tour should be directed to iTravel Tourist Lane. We will reasonably assist in relaying a concern to them, but we do not assume their liability by facilitating your reservation.

We may also link to or reference other third-party services on this site, such as government resources, transportation providers, or informational sources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party website.

10. WEBSITE USE AND PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to:

• Use this site for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in a reservation or contact form
• Attempt to interfere with the security or normal operation of this site
• Scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of this site’s content without permission
• Use automated means to submit reservations or spam the contact form

We may refuse or cancel a reservation, at our discretion, where we reasonably believe it was submitted in bad faith or in violation of these terms.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The content on this site, including text, photographs, graphics, and layout, is owned by Visit Zamboanga or used with permission, unless otherwise credited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

The “iTravel Tourist Lane” name and logo, where displayed, remain the property of iTravel Tourist Lane and are used here to identify them as our tour partner.

12. DISCLAIMERS

This site and its content are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We make reasonable efforts to keep tour information, pricing, and destination details accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that all information on this site is free of errors at all times. Pricing in particular is confirmed at the time of booking, not guaranteed by what’s displayed on a page at any given moment, since rates are set by iTravel Tourist Lane and subject to change without notice.

We do not guarantee that this site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, Visit Zamboanga and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or your participation in a tour booked through it, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, travel delays, missed connections, or losses arising from advisory-related risks disclosed in Section 7 above.

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount, if any, actually paid to Visit Zamboanga directly for the service in question. Since payment for tours is made directly to iTravel Tourist Lane and not to Visit Zamboanga, this limitation is expected to apply to the full amount in the ordinary course of a reservation.

14. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Visit Zamboanga and its operator from any claim, loss, or damage, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of this site, or your conduct during a tour booked through this site.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from your use of this site or a reservation made through it should first be raised with us directly through Contact Us, so we can attempt to resolve it informally.

16. SEVERABILITY

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining terms continue in full force and effect.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, for example as our tools, partners, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this site after an update means you accept the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically, especially before submitting a reservation.
